DESCRIPTION:The climate is rapidly collapsing\, and life as we know it is under imminent threat. The Australian system’s unrelenting extraction and exploitation of the land and people threaten the foundations of our life support systems. \nA system motivated solely by profit will not stop unless something – or someone – gets in the way.\nHow do we build a resistance movement rapidly and under a rigged political system? \nBlockade Australia is an organising network of people spanning across the continent. By undertaking direct action at economic pinch-points\, we confront the Australian system as a whole. Through resistance of this kind\, we begin to create space for new life-affirming horizons.   \nJoin us to reflect on Blockade Australia’s recent mobilisation\, and to discuss how action of this kind puts up a serious challenge to Australia’s climate violence.
